I am going to switch my website over a another host what tips you can assign to me?
Going towards the web host is a way for enhancing the business towards the success but it will take place only a condition when we follows some rules or tips .
Make sure about the new web hosting plan we’ve chosen offers and the storage capabilities to handle all of our current website storage requirements. If our website is containing 50MB,we need to make sure that our new hosting plan offers that much space.
If we’re not sure how much space our website is using, then we can ask our current host. We can also usually find this information on our web hosting control panel.
How does our current web host determine what is our storage amount is used for? and what our current and new host includes in our plan’s storage amount. Are our emails and log files counted towards our total storage, or just our web files?
Now we have to think that what operating system does our current hosting plan use? Windows or UNIX? Sometimes this can make no difference, in other cases it can make the difference between a working website and a cracked website.
If our site is currently on a Windows server and our website uses ASP scripting, we’ll find it difficult to make things work well on a Unix server, as ASP is a Windows based programming language. Finding ahead of time whether our current hosting plan is on a Unix or Windows server.
Does our site currently using FrontPage? Find out if our new host supports FrontPage. And we should be sure for our new host supports the same version of FrontPage which we are currently in use.
Find out if our new hosting plan offers us the same amount of Bandwidth that our current host offers. We don’t want to be surprised by unexpected overage charges at the end of the month.Sohould be careful about this.
Does this new host giving us same mail transfer speed as well as autorespond and the mail transfer speed as first one providing us?, then we have to think about this
