Hi,
I am getting a lots of spam messages in my inbox. How can i eliminate it.
it would be helpful for you
1 – In cPanel, set the default address to :fail:
2 – Do NOT use any common email addresses. This includes (accounting, billing, sales, support, webmaster, abuse, ect… ect…)
3 – If you want to list your email address on your website, make it an image. Spammers sometimes use automated software that searches web sites for email addresses. Luckily their software can not read email addresses if there an image.
4 – Be cautious when filling out forms on the web. Alot of offers on the web are really just an attempt to get your email address. So if you don’t fully trust a company, don’t give them your email address. If you really want to give an email address to an untrusted company, create a yahoo or gmail account.
If you already receive a lot of spam good solution is SpamBayes.
u r right mouse. This software works well with outlook. First, you train the program — you select some good and some spam messages. SpamBayes will assign to every word some value. This values will be used to determine which message is spam or which is good.
I find using “Boxtrapper” is an excellant way to fight spam mail, since the day I used it, my mail box is always clean.
I agree with u. I have also reduced spam using boxtrapper
Just use webmails like hotmail, yahoo and gmail. Always free and if it gets attacked by spam, which it will, just close it and move on
It’s good for the end user, there’s not a doubt about that. However, a downfall of Boxtrapper is that when spammers send mail with harvested return addresses, often active addresses belonging to real people, your mail server sends those automatic verifications back to those addresses.
So along with a spammer not having their way, a random (and confusing) auto reply ends up in an innocent inbox.
