As you all probably know, bandwidth is one of the most important things when it comes to selecting a shared web host. just wondering how i would decide how much bandwidth i need?
Bandwidth is kind of hard to compute really, because as a webmaster you would like as many visitors as you can, right? Especially if you are into selling stuff. There are a lot of website statistics checker out there.
Take the total size of the page (including the images) and multiply it by the amount of hits you expect. That will give you a general estimate. The actual number should be lower if the images are cached (a user visit again your website) to the users browser.
When you are calculating the bandwidth necessary for your website, you need to know some things such as: how much data will be sent, and whether or not you will be needing more in the near future.
thanks for reply
After a small research i found that 99% of Small sites don’t even use 1GB
